In case of acute pain complaints during clinic hours, please contact the assistant. Most of the time we can see you the same day.

The patients are treated in Dental Emergency Service HMC Westeinde on:

(a) Evening / Night (Monday-Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM the following day),
(b) Weekend (Friday 12:00pm to Monday 08:00am), and
(c) Public holidays including the Friday after Ascension day, the Christmas holidays, the spring break, the first week of May holidays, the summer holidays (the three weeks of the holidays for construction workers) and the autumn holidays
(d) During the day in case of acute dental emergency complaints (trauma, bleeding, or suspicion of a log abscess), the patient is referred to one of our backup practices in the region.

The emergency service is only available for the following cases:
- Knocked-Out Teeth, replace the tooth as quickly as possible, if this fails then store it in milk and avoid touching the tooth. Please come as quick as possible;
- Intense pain eventually accompanied by fever, swelling or malaise, contact the dental emergency service directly;
- Subsequent bleeding: a little taste of blood or a little blood after extraction is not uncommon, if you suffer from excessive bleeding, first try to bit for 30 minutes on a sterile handkerchief / cloth. If it continues to bleed, call the dental emergency service.

Please note that the dental emergency services require, ID, medical insurance card, medicine list, cash or ATM card payment.
